My name is Cory Martin. I’m an #MSWarrior, author, and yoga teacher battling multiple sclerosis. Two years after the release of my memoir Love Sick which chronicles my journey with MS, I started Namaste, Warrior as an extension of the message in my book.

Through Love Sick and the power of social media, I began connecting with warriors all over the world – not just those fighting MS, but those battling other diagnoses as well. As I heard the stories of so many incredible people, I realized that I wasn’t alone in my fight and I wanted to do something more powerful to let others know that they weren’t alone either.

As a yoga practitioner and teacher, I saw the strength that came from the recognition that we are all in this together. The word namaste can be translated to mean: the divine light in me salutes the divine light in you. Meaning, I honor the part of you that makes me the same as you. In the case of Namaste, Warrior I tweaked the interpretation slightly: the divine fight in me salutes the divine fight in you. In this case, I recognize that there is a undying spirit within you. I honor the part of you that won’t quit, the part that battles hard despite what the doctors say, the part that’s doing your very best to live your greatest life.

I see the warrior in you because the same warrior exists within me. That is the real crux of Namaste, Warrior.

I am currently working on a book that uses yoga as a basis for helping others to deal with their illnesses, but in the mean time I hope you’ll join me in celebrating the fight within all of us. On this site, you will find merchandise with our slogan with a percentage of profits going to a fund for warriors to live their best life, practical tips to dealing with illness in the blog, yoga videos accessible to everyone and random pics to brighten your day. Plus, much more…

This is just the beginning. Will you join me?

Namaste, Warriors!
